Update: June 3rd
The Worst Behaved Werewolf has just been taken offline ahead of me uploading the (hopefully) final version to Amazon. Hopefully everyone who wanted to read it did. If you missed out, I'll have it up for sale on the store for about a week before it goes live on Amazon.
I enjoyed sharing chapter by chapter updates with you--it brought back warm memories of fandom days. I've decided to share another project with you once Worst Behaved Werewolf is published. This one isn't a Read by Candlelight story, but I think you'll enjoy it.
Update: May 23rd
Here we are, at the end! When I first started posting these chapters, I had no idea of the wild ride ahead of us. My circumstances have changed dramatically since I posted chapter one. New Zealand is easing out of lockdown, I'm no longer working and am taking at least another month to care for myself before job hunting. The Worst Behaved Werewolf is in the hands of my editor in preparation for release as an ebook. These chapters will remain online for at least one more week, maybe longer, so please take advantage of it while it's available, and, if you have enjoyed it, let me know!
Original Post: March 28th
Hi friends,
I am in the very lucky position of being able to continue to work remotely through this period of lockdown/self-isolation/quarantine. I’m conscious that a lot of my friends here in NZ and around the world, aren’t and that well, for all of us, there is a lot of suck happening in the world right now.
According to Writer's Plot bookstore: "Reading can even relax your body by lowering your heart rate and easing the tension in your muscles. A 2009 study at the University of Sussex found that reading can reduce stress by up to 68%. It works better and faster than other relaxation methods, such as listening to music or drinking a hot cup of tea. Reading relieves tension like nothing else."
Starting today, for as long as I feel it’s helping/we're in lockdown/until I run out of words, I’m going to share a chapter of a previously unpublished story. I feel the need to do something, and this is the best thing I can think of. Once the story is complete, I'll leave it up for a few days and then take it down, send it off to my editor, and eventually publish.
I'm going to link to the individual chapters below, for easier reading. We're kicking this off with Book 8 in the Read by Candlelight series: The Worst Behaved Werewolf.
